AIDA ADAMS, LCSW

I am a wife and a mother/stepmother of 4. I enjoy traveling and making memories with my blended family. I have been in the social work field for 14 years. My passion is helping others of all races, ethnicities, cultures, gender identity, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, and level of education.  

It takes courage to seek a happier life and wanting to make changes is the first step. Let me be the one to help you. U&I can do this together. I have a passion for this work, I love what I do, and enjoy working with people.
 

I have worked in residential settings, detention centers, as an outpatient clinician, and also as an in-home family clinician utilizing the Multidimensional Family Therapy model. I have experience helping families through relationship and parenting conflict. A lot of my experience is around working with at risk youth in the Juvenile Justice System who suffer from depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma and emotional and behavioral disturbances. My training background is in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. 

Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, depression, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. We can all experience uncomfortable emotions at some point in our lives. 

Through counseling and treatment, U&I are able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life. U&I can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.
